About the Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, reliable and self-motivated team member to join our Toowoomba retail store on a permanent, full-time basis.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role that combines merchandise sales, customer service, merchandising, forklift operation, local deliveries and general warehouse duties. You’ll work closely with local farmers and a wide range of community customers, helping them find the right products and practical solutions for their needs.
Our Toowoomba site includes a drive-through warehouse where customers can pull in with vehicles and trailers to be served directly. You’ll play an important role in this area, assisting customers with product selection and safely loading products.
You’ll be part of a supportive, down-to-earth team who take pride in helping their customers and each other. As part of the full-time roster, you’ll also need to be available to work Saturdays as rostered.
Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Include:
- Providing friendly and knowledgeable sales and customer service
- Offering agricultural product information and practical recommendations
- Building strong relationships with customers and supporting repeat business
- Working across the retail store and warehouse
- Assisting customers in the drive-through warehouse
- Operating a forklift to move stock and load customers’ vehicles and trailers
- Maintaining store presentation and merchandising displays
- Assisting with stock ordering, receipting, replenishment, stocktakes and dispatch
- Processing sales and preparing customer quotes
- Assisting with local customer deliveries as required
- Following workplace health and safety procedures
- Working Saturdays as part of the roster
About You
You’ll be someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in providing great service and has a genuine interest in agriculture or rural products.
You’re organised, reliable and comfortable balancing a variety of tasks in a busy retail and warehouse environment. You show initiative, enjoy keeping active and take a practical approach to supporting customers, your team and the wider store operation.
Skills and Experience Required
- Strong customer service and sales experience
- Experience in rural retail, merchandise sales or warehousing is highly desirable
- An understanding of the agricultural industry is highly desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems
- The physical capability to safely undertake manual handling and other hands-on duties
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- A current driver's licence
- A current forklift licence, or willingness to obtain one
- Availability to work Saturdays as rostered
